Hours, Salary and Benefits:
We are seeking a Statewide Community Organizer to build and activate networks throughout Oregon to support local and statewide Outdoor School/Friends of ODS efforts.
The Community Organizer will help to organize, train, and mobilize Outdoor School supporters across the state. This position will be responsible for recruiting and organizing supporters to take a variety of action such as communicating with decision-makers; helping local Outdoor School programs or site facilities with volunteer days or fundraising events; offering expertise to the state Outdoor School program; or hosting a gathering. The Community Organizer will also: Plan and implement outreach events; recruit individual, corporate and organizational network members; identify potential donors, key/lead volunteers, and board prospects; provide volunteer training; and help engage the networks to advocate for Outdoor School locally, regionally, and statewide, when necessary.
